Grand Staircase Escalante
Postponed until 2024
Dear Travelers!
See a landscape of great beauty in Utah’s extraordinary “Red Rock” Country! Join us as we explore the spectacular National Parks in the north Canyonlands:
North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park,
Grand Staircase Escalante & Bryce Canyon National Park
Please Note: This itinerary is a guideline and is subject to change due to local circumstances. Your naturalist will keep you informed.
Our adventure begins in Page, AZ, then we tour North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a splendid view from Bright Angel Point and Trail.
The next day, head to Monument Valley Utah with a stop at Goulding’s Museum and Trading Post. See the stunning rock spires in Monument Valley. Then head up the road to Blandings for the night. The next day tour Bear Ears National Monument. Bird watchers keep your eyes peeled for Golden Eagles or Peregrine Falcons.
The next two days, we will spend time in Capitol Reef National Park in the heart of Red Rock Country. Capitol Reef is known for a long wrinkle in the earth’s surface called the Waterpocket Fold. Other sights include the Chimney Rock pillar, the Hickman Bridge arch.
Finally, we head to the Grand Staircase of Escalante National monument with the petrified forest. On to Bryce Canyon National Park, an erosional fantasy of crumbling cliffs, spires, and pinnacles in rich colors, named after the original Mormon pioneer settler.
We invite you to join us!
