YUNNAN-3 Parallel Rivers
World Heritage Expedition
May 10-26, 2024
Join us to discover the extraordinary mountains, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage of Yunnan in SW China.
Explore Yunnan from the capital city of Kunming to the upper reaches of three great rivers of Asia: the Yangtze, Mekong, and Salween.
These rivers run parallel from the edge of the Himalayas through steep gorges 3000m deep and past glaciated peaks 6,000m high.
This is one of the richest areas for biodiversity in the temperate regions of the world. It also has an extraordinarily rich melting pot of cultures.

With leadership by a superb naturalist who has explored this area extensively over the last 20+ years, we will explore the renowned cities Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La, and will venture into the higher elevations near Meili Snow Mountain, part of the UNESCO Three Gorges Protected Areas.
Join us to discover the immense beauty, remote mountain landscapes, and rich cultures of the Tibetan borderlands in SW China.

What to expect: A fascinating look at the most scenic area in China, Yunnan Province. Leading the expedition will be an outstanding scientist and excellent Chinese guide. The expedition will be a tremendous experience for travelers with an appetite for adventure who would enjoy a chance to explore culturally and biologically rich environments in a remote area of China.
We hope you will join us to discover the diverse cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty of these ancient lands. To reserve your space, please return the reservation form, or call 408-252-4910, or email BetchartTaunya@gmail.com
